I am a cook and stylist based between Edinburgh and London.
Salad Feasts: how to assemble the perfect meal is my upcoming cookbook. Photographed by Matt Russell and published by Hardie Grant on 12 July. My newest project is 27.Elliott's; a cafe, workshop and supperclub space, tucked behind Edinburgh's leafy meadows. We open the doors in June and I'll be cooking a weekly-changing breakfast and lunch menu that follows the seasons and Scotland's best producers.
My freelance work involves: prop styling, cooking for adverts, books, magazines and TV, recipe writing, brand and product development. I write and style regular features for Liz Earle and Courier magazines.
Projects as a cook and assistant food stylist have included: Rick Stein, Jasmine Hemsley, Yasmin Khan, Frankie Unsworth, Gino D'Acampo, Monocle, InStyle, Jamie Magazine, Waitrose, Pip&Nut, Genius, COOK, Asda, McDonalds, Just Eat, Westfield, Dorset Cereals, Diageo, Majestic Wine, Fremantle Media, Woolworths.
Previously as marketing manager, I led Stoats Porridge through a brand re-design and onto the shelves of all the major supermarkets; doubling their sales revenue. For Jamie Oliver, I managed the packaging and communications re-design of his highly profitable food and kitchenware ranges; 1000 products sold in over 35 countries.
In the kitchen I am self taught; my flavours and relaxed technique influenced by time spent living in Bangkok and Sydney. It's good, simple ingredients, particularly seasonal vegetables enjoyed in company that inspire me.
